Palin insults "community organizers", but lists her PTA membership on her resume?
:wtf:

And those people who put together her son's hockey leagues, enabling her to brand herself a "hockey mom"?

Yep, them too.

It's pretty ironic for her to bash community organizers when so much of her "image" is courtesy of their hard work and dedication.

Only the GOP base could find anything to applaud in that lousy effing speech :eyes:.

3. But it's all very GOP.
Put it this way: It's pretty ironic for them to bash workers when so much of their fortunes are courtesy of their hard work and dedication.

Edited on Thu Sep-04-08 02:29 PM by kayell
for organizer of the poor, the downtrodden, the people of color, the people who "just aren't like us, dear." You know. Those people....

6. Well, here's hoping that Dems and the media won't let them get away with this.
Community organizers play big roles in all of our lives and they deserve our respect.

7. No arguement from me on that one. Community organizers are my heros.
But I think the pukes have found a new term to twist to their agenda. I have little hope for the MSM, although I expect some serious words from KO. The Dems? Biden clearly has backbone, Obama too. Pelosi et al - not so much. Certainly over the next few months we'll have a good chance to see peoples spinal integrity.

10. Agreed. I'm surprised that they didn't throw in the word "urban".
It was a little (transparently) coded message for their base.

13. It was to bash Obama.
From the quotes I've seen, no more and no less.

Mayor of small town is a lot like being a community organizer, but with more responsibility (IIRC, it was a singular, making it an abstract noun--not "responsibilities).

One of Obama's jobs was as a community organizer. This is part of his experience, part of his qualifications, right? So she's just saying that there's less responsibility.

Sometimes the obvious, facile interpretation really is the right one, even if it does fit the context to a T.

9. Community organizers are the people who get out the vote.
That's the delicious irony.

11. No wonder the pukes don't like them.
The more people who vote in an election (if those votes actually manage to get counted), the less likely the pukes are to win.

Compare the amount of effort they spend trying to prevent voting to how much effort they spend transporting people to the polls.

Except for the old white folks. God bless the people who get the old white folks to the polls. :eyes:
