My Blood is BOILING. They think they are energizing THEIR base.....
Edited on Thu Sep-04-08 02:33 PM by debbierlus
Maybe.

But, they are INFURIATING and ELECTRIFYING OURS!!!

I have made no big secret that Barack Obama is my default candidate. I will vote for him & send a few bucks, but I wasn't going to go all out.

Well, I am back in. And, after this week I bet there are many other people who are SEETHING. The Republican lie-slander-hate-fest has been incredibly motivating....

I am going to New Hampshire to campaign.

I am back in on my youtube channel 'arevolutionaryact' and vlogging.

A check for 100.00 is on the way to the Obama campaign.

And, I just called my sister (who will be 7 + months pregnant on election day, and we are going to canvas together in NH the day of the election - we live in MA).

Fuck us. NO. FUCK THEM. Fuck their lies. Fuck their arrogance. Fuck their war mongering and destruction. Fuck their greed and hate. FUCK THEM.

I am so angry. Beyond angry....

our getting really pissed this time. Enough is enough. I am in Kentucky for this election, not Florida, but there is a very slight chance we could move this state into the Blue category. It will be very difficult...but not because I didn't try.

Everyone should be fired up and ready to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe they thought we'd be so grateful for finally being shed of Bush that we'd lay back, relax, and breath a deep sigh of relief - while they snuck in their stealth neo-cons.

Not gonna happen.

I am nearly beyond words, I am so angry.

That little b**** made a big mistake if she thinks she can just simper around on stage and remain untouched. Or if she and McSame and the Repukes think that the Dems are just going to lay down and let them run over the top of us.

I wish I could say what I was really thinking, but I won't. I'd probably end up pissing some people here off, which I don't want to do.

13. Careful. The Bush 00-04 strategy is: Energize your base, energize their base, and disgust the middle
to the point where they don't bother following it. There are more self-ID'd Dems than GOPers, but their "base" outnumbers ours.

16. Was it the 1992 Republican Convention...
...that was such a horrendous failure, because the entire thing
was a freak show of hate????

One of their Conventions was initially touted as a success, but when
people really chimed in about it--it was evident that their shrill,
backbiting, sardonic speeches and behavior had turned off mainstream
America.

I think this Republican Convention will have a similar effect.

Guliani's speech was mean, and Palin's mocking and insulting
speech was viewed by 37 million people-and the only ones who
are impressed are the hate-filled, far right.

When these people feel the full effect of this Convention hate--and after
the normal people of this country react negatively to this
venom--the Republicans will be backpedaling and we'll see a softer
approach.

30. That was it. Bill Clinton won the election. 1992 was Pat Buchanan's speech rallying the Nazis
I still remember Pat's breathless comment about how America should react if the Zulus were invading. He actually said that.

America threw up and then voted for Clinton-Gore.

Rudi got me the most worked up last night, Sarah was simply predictably annoying. As much as I knew watching the puke speeches would give me heartburn --- ya know the saying, "know thy enemy"

Well, 95% of the RNC convention was about bashing Obama, Biden, 'libruls', and Dems - hardly anything of real substance.

I was so angry last night I had to go work out before bed - still had trouble sleeping.

She will energize a lot of progressives and independents who are not too happy with Obama's votes on FISA, tort reform, and bankruptcy reform; when they see who will be in power if Obama isn't elected, they are suddenly very motivated to vote for Obama.

Don't get me wrong-I always like our candidates and am energized by them, but to be honest the Repukes are the ones who energize me the most.
The contrast between the Dem convention and that freak show last night could not have been more obvious, as with the differences between Senators Obama and Biden and on the Repuke side McLame and MooseKill.

We are faced with so many problems right now-this is just too important a task to be left to these dimwits. Really-NO -just NO to this lot following the Bush thugs.. NO WAY, NO HOW, NO McCAIN-PALIN.

52. Great post, Debbie
I supported Edwards, but these right wing lunatics have to be stopped. This country cannot endure another Republican administration. They are fueled by hatred, vitriol, greed, and a total lack of compassion for their fellow man. I read on HuffingtonPost this morning that the clothes and accessories Cindy McCain wore the other night amounted to $299,000! That is disgraceful. What a total lack of compassion and empathy for working families. People are struggling to get by, thousands are losing their homes, jobs are being sent to other countries, elderly citizens are eating cat food, and this nut case has the audacity to flaunt her excessive wealth. These people have no soul.

And don't even get me started on the "hockey mom" from the tundra.
