Yep, that's right. Just got this link from my daughter who is attending her first year of college. As a Dad, and as a life long Dem, I could not be prouder. It seems the kids, as I've said before, are alright. She sees lot's of Obama bumper stickers, signs and t-shirts on campus and nothing from McLame. So far she's told me over 15,000 students have signed up for the Nov. 5th boycott. Sure Obama is going to win, but I'm for anything that gets young people involved in the process.

If you're a student then take some time and sign up. Also, I'd love a K&R or two so I can pass this along to my daughter. She's a member of DU, but in her first post ever she made the mistake of saying Hillary was a horrible person (she's young, give her a break people) and she was so attacked she's kind of afraid to come back.

Thanks everyone, and here's the link-

If someone has already posted this, I'm sorry.

2. Rocky, tell her to plan on being in school on November 5th.
Because there ain't no way in hell McSame is gonna win.

If she wants to skip, she'll have to find a better reason to do it! ;)

K&R - How are ya, Rocky?

4. I'm doing well Andy, great to see you.
Yeah, I have to believe we can take this one. If we don't, we might all want to give up and move far far away.

I'm just so excited that she cares.

7. Thanks.
Good to see you Gateley. That's been one of my favorite things about Obama, the way he attracts the youth vote.

8. I'm not going to work on Nov. 5 if Obama wins
as I expect to be totally hungover and partied out from joy. :D

(But good for your daughter too! Sounds like she's alright.)

9. I didn't go to school the day after Bush got back in, either (I was a Senior in HS then)..
I was literally sick. So if McLame somehow pulls this off, I doubt I will go that day, either. Yet I don't really want to say that much more than that, as I don't want to make it look like a strong possibility, you know? We ARE going to win...*crosses fingers* :D

But still, it's a neat idea and I hope you get a lot of sign ups. :)

11. I was in catatonic shock after 2004.
And didn't go to class for nearly a week. I just couldn't face the world.

13. I remember just kind of walking around in shock in 04.
It was a really terrible couple of days that turned into an absolutely awful 4 years.

17. Me too. I was a recluse for a couple days--didn't take phone calls, didn't go out of the house
I headed up my county's efforts for Kerry Edwards. All sorts of people called me on the day after, I didn't answer or return a single one. I sobbed for days, didn't want to get out of bed, shower, or eat.

That whole time was freaking horrible.

18. It took a week for the shock to really hit me
The Tuesday after the election, I had to take the day off to cry. I kept calling me friends and sobbing into the phone yelling, "He's got to unsecede, he's got to unsecede".

14. It's too bad she got attacked for expressing her mind.
You really have to develop the old armadillo armor here if you are going to post something controversial on your first outing. Maybe she needs to break in gradually in some of the special interest forums before venturing into the battleground of General Discussion forums.
