The presidential debates are critical to Obama's chances

Just like Ronald Reagan had many questions hovering over him prior to his first debate in 1980, Obama is facing the same qualms from many voters. He has to pass this "presidential excellence" test with flying colors.

More than anything right now, Obama should be preparing for his first critical debate with McCain.
