Why Is McCain Always Standing Behind Palin and Playing With his Wedding Ring?

Every single time I see her doing her stump speech, McCain is right behind her and he's creepily playing with his wedding ring. Not only is McCain giving up the leadership of his campaign, he's getting cheap thrills off of it by fantasizing about Palin while she is speaking for him.

That his gamble will not pay off, and she will screw up and cost him the election. He is doing what Karl Rove tells him to do, and he is very comfortable with it. He stands there letting her have the spotlight, and he doesn't like that at all. As has been said already, he was "told" to pick her, it was not his choice. He wants to win so bad he is taking advice for the same assholes that smeared him in 2000, that has to be hard on anyone!

8. I may be wrong, but I still think McCain (and esp. Cindy) can't stand Palin and that she was NOT

his pick for V. P. but she was forced on him by the powers that be to combat the "change" message. It seems to me that his body language is always VERY standoffish and he almost never makes eye contact with Palin. Now, this could be so that he doesn't appear to be too *friendly* with her, but it seems to me like he just really doesn't like her.

But hey, I don't know. Mere conjecture.
