Listen Up! Keep the families out of it, or else
Edited on Wed Sep-10-08 11:17 AM by Kurt_and_Hunter
We need to get our act together and not delight in the latest revelations about the Palin family.

I don't care whether Bristol Palin knows who the father of her baby is. I don't care that she made out with every boy in Wassila. I don't care that she was shipped out of town by her horrid mother when the pregnancy became apparent.

And it is none of our business that the "father" was flown into the RNC under duress.

And I sure as hell don't care that Sarah Palin sleeps with men other than her husband. That's her business, not mine.

And it is certainly none of my business that Track Palin (an unfortunate name in the context of drug addiction) is a crack addict and felon who was shipped out of town (like his sister) when his criminality became too public. And if he is shipping out to Iraq only to evade prison for sabotaging the brakes on school buses, well who fucking cares?

It's not like my kids ride those buses.

So keep the families out of it!!!

1. Dude. Calm down. People thrive on salicious gossip
especially when it is about someone we despise.

Obama is taking the high road so we don't have to.

And, that POS Palin made her family an issue when she dragged them up onstage touting what a perfect family they are. They're far from it.

You don't hear Obama doing that, and Hell, his family IS just about perfect. Almost as perfect as mine.

And, if Track Palin is indeed a drug addict, his unit should be made aware. He could endanger their lives.

until they begin touting family values and all that crap and how they are the "family values party". Then it becomes fair game - they are no longer just the candidate's children, they become the candidate's props. Hypocrisy - thy name is GOP!

If your post is sarcasm, its brilliant
I would suggest if palin's daughter's sex life is off limits so is everyone else's not just those in the families of those running for P and VP. Conservatives spend most of their lives obsessing over others sex lives and what they do with their bodies but now an unwed 17 year old in a family values institution is off limits?? the irony is not lost on me.

13. I have no idea who the real father is, and it's none of my business.
The kid they shanghaied and flew into the RNC might be the real father, for all I know.

But I am too refined to speculate about such things.

If the Republicans want to parade a family around that seems to be a dead-ringer for the family in POLYESTER that's their business, not mine.

33. The Enquirer story is such a chamber of horrors I couldn't resist
It reads like a pitch for a John Waters movie.

I don't like people calling Bristol a "slut" but the litany of Jerry Springer atrocities has gotten so appalling that the idea of "keeping families out of it" is getting downright comical.

Palin is running as America's dream mom, and seems to have a singularly degenerate family. So it's becoming harder and harder to deny the nexus.

Gov. Palin parades them at every opportunity. There's Bristol VERY pregnant in regular clothes rather than maternity clothes so we can SEE how pregnant she is, holding hands with the kid who knocked her up. There's Sarah scooping up her 4-month old baby and then turning him around so he is facing the audience so everyone can plainly see that he has Down Syndrome.

water-tight plausible deniability.

That is absolutely essential!

But if Palin - ends up the potential Commander and Chief of the strongest military power in the history of the world - someone who believes that we are living in the "end of times" and America is mandated by God to lead the Battle of Armageddon -countless children and families will be facing a far greater threat then some nasty rumors from tabloid scandal sheets.

Just imagine the potential consequences of such a person controlling the launch codes of the world's largest nuclear arsenal - capable of obliterating the human race.

27. Sorry, doesn't fly.
I don't understand how after months of relentless attacks against Obama and his family's personal endeavors where the spotlight of every media outlet in this country, that Palin who makes those claims about him look like a trip to Disneyland. . Is suddenly "Off limits".

This woman is corrupt, her family's antics goes against everything she says she stands for and she finds it quite easy to go on the attack, then cry "Foul" when she is put under the microscope.
Don't like the heat, then don't play with fire, it's not our fault that McCain decided to pick someone to "Win" instead of someone with "The means to better this country".

I think that for the most part family business should stay out of politics, but when it involves someone that can potentially be the most powerful person in the world, the rules change.

McCain's potentially serious cancer problems are between he and his doctors.

His potential alzheimers is a delicate issue that should be dealt with between he and his family.

His angry, abusive verbal attacks against his current wife are a family matter and shouldn't have any bearing on the campaign.

His history of adultery and Cindy's history of drug abuse and theft are heartbreaking family problems that should be kept within the family.
