I want to be very wrong but:

It's 9/11 and Palin's interview is airing. Gonna be lots of softball, pre-screened questions. The usual dose of Terra, Terra, Terra. Much flag waving and closeups of Palin's cheeks liberally sprinkled with patriotic tears of joy/grief as her son marches off into the sunset.

The whole fucking thing is a setup. Her first, and so far only, interview on 9/11 - the day of her son's, so conveniently timed, quasi deployment.

Yeah, unless she really goofs, it's gonna be a bounce. I do hope she goofs.

7. As a mother, all I could say is that Palin must have a heart of stone,

I dropped my daughter off at college a couple of weeks ago, and was a mess for a couple of days. I couldn't imagine how upset I would be if she was heading off to Iraq.

Most mothers would see Palin as a opportunist/creepy politician who uses the plights of her children for political gain.
