Sarah Palin is no friend to girls or women. We all know about her rabid views against freedom of reproductive choice, including access to contraceptive information for teenage women (yes, teenage women, since she believes a 17-year-old is ready for marriage and motherhood at the moment of conception within her womb).

What is worse than that, however, is the way she hides behind shrill accusations of sexism every darned time anyone (including other women) raise questions about her history, her experience, her family, or her resume. She's on record on videotape calling Hillary Clinton a "whiner" for saying that she was a victim of sexism during the primary, yet Senator Clinton had the guts and fortitude to go toe-to-toe with the media and with her competitors time after time. Mrs. Palin has been sequestered from the media, sitting down and shutting up as women have been told to do from time immemorial.

Mrs. Palin, self-labelled pitbull, makes us all look like spineless, fainting weaklings to those who still think women don't deserve the gains they've made in public life and in the workplace. Poor, pretty thing likes to tote a gun and make a lot of shrill noise, but when it comes down to the real deal, standing up for who and what she is with no apologies, she folds.

So she is not only against women's rights and equality, she's a rank embarrassment to all of us who stand up to real sexism and prove ourselves worthy.

And I haven't even begun to list her unfitness due to lack of experience, rigid ideology, support of Christian theocracy, secessionist sympathies, and utter lack of ethics in office.
