ABC News is making the most of Charlie Gibson's interviews tomorrow and Friday with Gov. Sarah Palin. ABC announced today it is producing a special 20/20. "The Interview: Sarah Palin with Charles Gibson" airs Friday at 10pmET/PT.

Not worth watching as far as I'm concerned. She'll come off well, and then it'll be another week of "OH!!! SHE'S WONDERFUL!!!" Makes me want to puke before the interview even happens.

I'm starting to think that the only real opportunity to get her thinking on her feet, which obviously scares the holy shit out of the R's, is in that debate. Biden better come ready to dish out an intellectual waffle-stomping. She'll be in her bubble the whole time until the election otherwise.

18. ABC News is the Fox alternative. I say this based on the following:

The gut wrenchingly stupid and biased job Stephanopoulis and Gibson did in the debates

Stephanopoulis posing the idiotic GOP meme "Which candidate will oppose their party more?" to Obama as recently as Sunday.

I am somewhat suprised they didn't give the interview to Katie Couric who appears in the McCain lipstick ad and who also so obligingly swapped answers in her own McCain interview. But, she'll probably be tapped for the next infomercial.

20. I heard it's a "follow-her-around" few days

Following her around is a lot different from Meet the Press. I can only imagine how this will turn out. It'll probably be one of those People Magazine-style pieces, where they show her with her family (play up the special-needs kid again), show her with her adoring Alaska fans, maybe a fishing or moose-killing clip, and then probably a couple softball questions from that tough hard-hitting newsman, Uncle Charlie Gibson.

The clock is ticking, people. This is all designed to stall so that they can give her a crash course in economics, foreign policy, etc.; meanwhile hold off as long as possible putting her out in public to answer the types of questions that are regularly posed to any other Presidential or Vice Presidential candidate.
