I’m voting for McCain/Palin, and here’s why:
While I appreciate that our economy is a disaster, I believe a man who is willing to admit that he doesn’t understand the economy and how it works is the best candidate to get us out of the current mess.
The truth is over-rated. I want another president who lies his ass off about everything. The fact that McCain lies about things that are easily proven false isn’t stupidity – it’s chutzpah.
There’s nothing more reassuring than the idea of a Commander-in-Chief who doesn’t know the difference between Sunni and Shi’ia, and is ready to defend the non-existent Iraqi-Pakistan border.
I firmly believe that a warmonger with a hair-trigger temper should have the last say when it comes to deploying nuclear weapons.
Electing a president who shows signs of dementia, PTSD, and perhaps the early stages of Alzheimer’s isn’t the end of the world - hey, what could possibly go wrong?
The fact that McCain wants to extend tax-cuts for the wealthy shows his confidence that once he’s at the helm, even minimum wage earners like me will someday be millionaires who will share in those tax breaks.
I am not troubled by the idea that McCain is so out-of-touch with modern technology, he doesn’t know how to use a computer. Abraham Lincoln couldn’t use a computer either, and that didn’t stop him from being a great president.
I, for one, don’t think it’s a big deal that McCain has flip-flopped on virtually every position he’s ever held, and can’t even remember what his positions are now or were then. We all forget things – and this just confirms his “human side”.
Despite the fact that he has voted with Bush 90% of the time, I am confident that once elected, the Maverick will do things completely differently than the last disastrous president.
I have infinite trust in a man who can’t remember how many houses he owns, or how he voted on various bills, or the fact that Chechoslovakia no longer exists, to have the mental wherewithal to lead a nation.
Yes, it’s true that McCain is old and may not last a full term in office – but his choice of an experienced and adept VP nominee assures me that the country will pass into more-than-capable hands.
Despite her inability to face reporters before being “prepped”, I am confident that if necessary, Sarah Palin will be ready-and-able to face the responsibilities of the presidency on a moment’s notice.
I am of the view that living in a state where you can see Russia is as much “foreign affairs” experience as anyone really needs.
There is no doubt in my mind that despite the fact that she “doesn’t know what a vice president does” and she “hasn’t really turned her mind to what’s going on in Iraq”, Palin will quickly figure these things out once on-the-job.
In a country as great as ours, I firmly endorse the idea that ignorance of the facts, deceit, lies, religious extremism, a lack of mental agility, lapses in memory, a lack of experience, and abject stupidity should not disqualify anyone from leading a nation.
John McCain was a POW; Sarah Palin was a hockey mom – duh! What more do you need?
I am a complete IDIOT – and I approve this message.
