net neutrality. Think about it. McCain has previously opposed net neutrality, claiming that government would be infringing upon business. Obama could even first apologize in a speech, saying he didn't realize that McCain was physically unable to type. He could mention that there is technology available to help people with various disabilities use computers, but he understands it might be aggravating to learn to use it. He could then say whether or not his opponent has used the internet is not the real issue.

The real issue is that John McCain believes Comcast should control how YOU, the voters, use the internet. He believes that a single corporation should be allowed to decide who accesses what and how they access it. John McCain believes that Comcast should not merely be a internet provider--they should, in his eyes, be an internet gatekeeper. Obama could say "take it from me" and explain the role the internet played in the early grassroots of campaign. The internet is a place where citizens can openly air their grievances with one another. I believe that is what democracy is about. The internet is not about the powerful or the wealthy. The internet is about you. And John McCain once Comcast to take that power away. If John McCain were to become president and appoint at least three FCC commissioners who agree with him, the situation would only grow worse. Maybe he doesn't understand the value of the internet because he hasn't used it; maybe he supports silencing his critics. Either way, he doesn't support you.

I don't know...I think that kind of attack would resonate with the public. Net neutrality needs to be made a bigger story. This is scary stuff. Imagine if Comcast started slowing down the bandwith of those of us visiting liberal blogs. It's the next logical step. What if Comcast, like Saudi Arabia, decides what sites people can view? It's frightening and approaching quickly if FCC hearings on neutrality are not allowed to occur.

1. It's a very important issue

and would like leave McShame stammering because he probably doesn't get it but I'm not sure if this is a winner as far as something most people having their minds wrapped around it.

If he uses it he can score, I'll agree but I'm far from certain it's an issue that will resonate with the masses.
