Now I feel even more anxious and unsure.
The economy is a mess. I am concerned about my family's security and the future of our country. What I want is for the presidential election to go on as planned. When things are uncertain, routine is comforting. We are having an election. Candidates campaign and debate. That is the routine.

This surprise move by the McCain campaign is not helping me feel any better about the situation we are facing. If it is a stunt, he needs to be taken to the woodshed. People are nervous enough without this kind of bullshit drama. And if he really believes he is helping the situation, well that speaks volumes about the kind of leader we can expect McCain to be.

1. Hang in there. We'll get through what ever happens
just remember we are all in this together. Try not to get discouraged and keep living your life one day at a time or one minute if that's what it takes...

Sit back and grab your popcorn because I think we're in for one heck of a show!

2. The irony is that everyone on wall street knows he's a moron hack, so he cannot provoke panic

4. He Is Pathetic
I have never seen such naked ambition; not even in Richard Nixon of whom John McCain makes look like George Washington...

He is a scary, scary man...

5. Somehow I think he is inspiring more distrust than security.
I agree with your assessments and they should just go ahead and have the debates. If he chooses to not show, or be pissy, well, so be it.

7. Crazy Vanilla has it right. McCain is going to lose now.
By how much is yet to be decided. That will be November 4th. As each day passes I get more and more confident in an Obama victory. 52% - 39% in a national poll is just bad for McLame. It = election over. Well allmost. :)
