Sen. Dodd shot down Andrea this morning good and proper.
She so much wanted Dodd to agree that McCain had an integral part in this bailout solution. He said, no, no, all he did was interrupt the negotiations, he had nothing, said nothing to contribute. She tried again with the but, but....Dodd, said "no, McCain was trying to save his campaign, not the financial crisis." She was not pleased.

3. Mrs. Greenspan is another GE-TV squawking head who has no business discussing
the bailout. She and David Wilkinson-Gregory both have a conflict of interest and should recuse themselves from covering this story.

4. You make an excellent point(s) here, should send to the suits
at NBC. They both disgust me at times, but I do notice MSNBC seems to push the repug meme during work hours, and then sort of lean dem from Hardball on. It's quite entertaining....

19. So have many other Obamacans/indies who now support Obama... he obviously isn't a McCain supporter.
Unless you think his repeatedly calling McCain "troll-like" in live post-debate analysis is meant to be a compliment.

9. I've shared my opinion with MSNBC via email on this matter.
I encourage other to do the same. :-) It may not make a difference, but it will at least let them know that we're aware of their employees' spouses ties to the issue.

12. David Gregory is married to Beth Wilkinson, who up until very recently, was a Fannie Mae VP.
Beth Wilkinson
Executive Vice President - General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Beth A. Wilkinson is Fannie Mae's executive vice president - general counsel and corporate secretary. She reports directly to the chief executive officer. Wilkinson has oversight and management responsibility for all legal issues, strategies, services and resources. Additionally, she serves as the business-oriented, senior legal advisor to the board of directors, chief executive officer, and members of the senior management team.

4 Fannie Mae senior execs resign
The troubled mortgage finance giant announces restructuring of organization with more direct reports to CEO.

September 20, 2008: 7:39 AM EDT

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Mortgage finance giant Fannie Mae, taken over by the government earlier this month, announced Friday the resignations of four senior executives and said it was restructuring its organization.

The company, the biggest buyer and guarantor of home loans in the country, and its sibling Freddie Mac (FRE, Fortune 500) were taken over on Sept. 7 in a rescue plan that eventually could require the Treasury Department to put up as much as $100 billion for each of them over time if needed to keep them afloat as mortgage losses mount.

The executives and boards of both companies are being replaced. Herbert Allison, the former head of the TIAA-CREF retirement investment fund, was immediately selected to head Fannie Mae, and David Moffett, a former vice chairman of US Bancorp (USB, Fortune 500), was chosen to head Freddie Mac.

The Fannie Mae (FNM, Fortune 500) executives whose resignations were announced Friday are Chief Business Officer Peter Niculescu, Executive Vice President and General Counsel Beth Wilkinson, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer Rahul Merchant, and Senior Vice President for Government and Industry Relations Duane Duncan.

7. did anyone see her on the Chris Matthews show yesterday
saying that she spoke with a "prominant Republican" who said that Obama did pass the Reagan test (even though she thought McCain won)? I was thinking "Ok, Mitch, was this Republican your husband?"

10. Think about it, folks. Dems have a majority in the House and Senate and you can
count Joe "I love Bush and McBush" as voting with the Dems on the bailout. Usually, the Dems have to worry about a veto, but Bush wants the bailout more than anyone. So, what was McCain's big contribution supposed to be? And what was it that he could not have accomplished by conference call?

16. Dodd made my day!
He was clear, he was forceful and he wasn't taking her bullshit. I was so proud of him as my U.S. Senator today!

Andrea was a big disappointment today. I thought she had had enough with these repukes back when they lied about Obama in Germany, but now look at her! What a total disgrace you are Andrea! You ought to be ashamed of yourself!

17. Dodd was my first choice in the primaries =
then my first choice for VP pick -- now I see he is right where he needs to be. If he were either one of the picks, a "unified" " proposal would have been impossible, with NO Repugs. signing on to anything.
