That's the reason for getting proper training in weapons, such as the one provided by the NRA, responsible gun shops, and Pink Pistols. Being a military veteran, I would not aim a weapon unless I intended to use it.

The "stop or I'll shoot" is the stuff one sees on TV.

It is stereotyping of gays to think of them as weaklings. I thought the 1969 Stonewall riots put an end to such misperceptions.

I hate to break it to you, but if someone wants to kill themselves they don't need a gun to do it. All it takes is popping a bunch of pills, slitting their wrist, plugging up their tail pipe and sitting in a running car, or using their bathrobe belt to hang themselves from the shower.

I strongly suspect that gay people would much prefer not to be treated like they can't make their own choices and decisions about guns.

It only takes a couple seconds in a fit of rage or sorrow to lift a gun and take one's life, while the other methods require more pain, time and concentration, and are hugely more survivable.

It takes more than a couple of seconds to kill yourself with a gun. You have to get the gun, get the bullets, load it and if it's a rifle, it'd be a hell of a chore to get it in a position where you can actually fire it and hit yourself somewhere that would kill you. It would much quicker, less painful, more peaceful and much cleaner and less traumatic for whoever found you to just take an overdose.

If someone wants to kill themselves enough to shoot themselves in the head, they would just find other means if they couldn't use a gun. People don't just suddenly decide one day they want to kill themselves. This is something they think about, contemplate and ponder for a long time before actually doing it. Suicide is not done on a whim.
