Dean does best against Bush, but people don't believe he can win

However, I just saw a CNN poll that had only 28% saying Dean could beat Bush. Doesn't this really show the difference between reality and perception when it comes to questions on electability...

This is why people don't vote because someone on TV said their candidate didn't have a chance. Yes, those are probably shallow reasons, but the GOP counts on the media doing just that for them, propagandizing that their candidate is unbeatable.

It has been admitted by reporters pollsters and pundits that trying to get people to respond to polls is like pulling eye teeth. wometimesm you can hear them doubt their own polls.

Right now because Dean is front runner every negaitve poll that can be found will be pulled out in an effort to try to assist the other candidates see if anyone can break through.

The best thing activists can do is trust their own judgement--many activists have as much knowlledge and understanding as the pundits, if not more.

Secondly most often these polls are skewed Republican--naturally republicans think Bush can beat Dean. CNN is famous for these type polls.

It shows the ability of propaganda to cloud people's minds.The reality is that Bush was beaten in the first election, and with his dismal record he should be easily beaten the second time around. Perceptions are manipulated by all sorts of things, including polls and freeper plants. "Questions of electability" are a classic ruse to engender doubt. What in the hell does "questions of electability" mean anyway? Absolutely nothing.
