Poll question: The Presidency Poll.
Edited on Fri Dec-19-03 04:54 PM by bhunt70
Assume that the concept of "The Best person for the job" and the concept of "The best person to beat Bush" are two distinct concepts.

Which would you rather have a person who is very qualified to run a country and envisions great things for America and the character to do it (but there is a bigger chance to lose to bush)or the best possible chance to stop bush in his devious little tracks (but may not create a better america or be the most qualified for the job).

Disregard ABB for purposes of this poll also there is no "other".

edit for spelling.

2. I'll settle for pretty good.
They're ALL pretty good, BTW.

I think the world will breathe a collective sigh of relief if we evict the squatter.

3. That's easy.
Like Helen Thomas said, "Bush is the worst President, ever." Bush sets the bottom end of the scale. And, of course, "the best person for the job" sets the top the scale.

EVERYONE else running is somewhere in between.

4. Anyone is better than Bush
If the president doesn't have a vision or know what to do then there are plenty of good Democrats out there to advise him.

5. I want Dubya out.
I like Kucinich more than I like Dean; but I support Dean for the nomination.

But when I say 'Bush out at all costs,' I include Lieberman as Bush-lite. I will not vote for Lie-berman.
