4. I've been calling Indiana..

It's going pretty good, except I have run into a handful of people who have been call multiple times and they're getting a little cranky. :-)

8. We're calling with reminders about polling locations
and reminding first time voters to take ID, so it's a pretty easy call even if people have been called before.

12. Did 53 doors today in rural North Carolina! Trailer parks, housing developments
dirt and gravel roads, paved roads, grassy ditches on paths that were supposed to be roads, roads that should be labeled super highways cause the locals use them as NASCAR tracks - One 55mph busy road, I think I peed myself twice trying to get out the way of speeding cars to look for #'s on the mailboxes!!) LOL

Highlight of my day was going into a trailer park with my address list and a handful of voting pamphlets and had to ask a group of 15 kids where # xyx trailer was. The kids were pushing each other around in an old stroller, laughing, smiling, playing in the dirt and grass like I used to when I was their age, having a great time on a beautiful sunny and warm Sunday afternoon.

Anyway...

They took one look at my handful of Obama stuff and started yelling O.B.A.M.A's here!! LOL OMG the littlest one had to be all of 4 years old! So I handed them a few pamphlets with Obama's photo on them because I just couldn't help myself and found my doors to knock.

As I was turning to get back in my car, one little one came running towards me, grabbed me around the waist and gave me the biggest hug and said......You forgot about meeeeeeeeeeee. It was all I could to keep myself from bawling out loud right then and there. I couldn't stop thinking that Obama is a hero to these kids, more than he'll ever know. These little ones are dreaming BIG dreams because of Obama!!!

I had a busy, hard but happy day!

13. My wife spent the afternoon calling
She said most of the people she reached had gotten multiple calls already. Obama supporters didn't mind. Some people are getting annoyed.

15. I went shopping for Obama.
Kroger didn't have any Obama for sale, though. :D

I bought some supplies for Election Day (bottled water, mostly), and spent time with a neighbor packing lunch bags for the ED runners--of whom I'll be one.

Yesterday, I bought food and made 70 calls.

Got a visit from Steny Hoyer and Frank Kratovil. And Steny Hoyer gave us a wonderful pep talk. It was a good afternoon. Go Obama!
