Obviously there are more pressing issues at hand, but I really wish more people were on-board with and knew more about the net-neutrality issue. Fortunately for myself and others who agree with me, Obama has vowed to pass laws that would protect net-neutrality. And as a double whammy for people who support net-neutrality, Mr. "the internet is a series of tubes" Ted Stevens, who vehemently opposes net-neutrality, is now hopefully being shipped off to jail, or at least handed a hefty fine and a tainted political career.
For those who don't know about the net-neutrality issue, a lot of people on the right, McCain included, want to allow corporations and ISPs to regulate content on the internet. Essentially, if net-neutrality didn't exist, ISPs like Comcast could ban their users from accessing sites that has content they don't deem viewable. Even though net-neutrality does exist, even in a small form, Comcast has been found regulating content.
