Kerry's launching two TV ads for tomorrow only in two towns Bush will be visiting in Pennsylvania: Philadelphia and Johnstown.
"Philadelphia"
VO: Four years ago, George Bush came to Philadelphia promising to strengthen Medicare for the greatest generation. Four years later, Bush imposes the largest Medicare increase in history. Now Bush is back, but around here we remember Bush's broken promises. It's time for a new direction. John Kerry -- a real plan to strengthen Medicare and lower health care costs. John Kerry -- strong at home, respected in the world.
KERRY VO: I'm John Kerry and I approve this message.
"Johnstown"
VO: In 2000, George Bush never bothered to come to Johnstown. Now he's here promising to take the side of working families. But we know what matters -- facts, not promises. Health care costs are skyrocketing. And family wages are down $1,500. It's time for a new direction. John Kerry -- a real plan to cut middle classes taxes and reduce health care costs. John Kerry -- strong at home, more respected in the world.
KERRY VO: I'm John Kerry and I approve this message.
**AND**
The DNC is going up with two new TV ads tomorrow -- one in Florida about prescription drugs and another on jobs in 13 battleground states.
"Stand Up"
(Florida)
VO: What can a president do about the cost of prescription drugs? John Kerry says allow Medicare to negotiate lower prices with drug companies. And permit Americans to buy prescription drugs from Canada. And George Bush’s record? He blocked Medicare from negotiating lower prices and banned Americans from buying low cost drugs from Canada. John Kerry will stand up to the drug companies. It’s something a president can and must do. The Democratic National Committee is responsible for the content of this advertisement.
“Middle”
(Florida, Iowa, Nevada, Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Maine, Oregon, Washington, West Virginia)
Bush, from March 9, 2004 speech: We’re creating jobs, good, high paying jobs for the American citizens. MOS 1: The jobs that the president is talking about are low paying jobs. Those jobs can’t support our country. MOS 2: You can’t raise a family on seven-eight dollars an hour with no benefits. MOS 3: If you can’t maintain your standard of living or at least close to your standard of living, no it’s not a recovery.
MOS 4: When you lose your good paying jobs, you lose middle class. VO: The Democratic National Committee is responsible for the content of this advertisement.
Now THIS is how to fight!
How's that feel Karl? You like that?
I have a feeling this is ONLY the beginning for Kerry's new assault against Bushco.
Nevermind the AWOL story growing big, hairy legs. And the Texans for Truth ads beginning.
