My theory on why Obama cancelled his meeting with the press on Wednesday
From the AP:

Obama planned visits to Florida, North Carolina and Virginia on Monday and a quick stop in Indiana Tuesday morning. He told reporters he would hold a news conference on Wednesday. Later, Obama spokeswoman Linda Douglass walked back Obama's plans, saying he'll meet the press before the end of the week, but "don't count on Wednesday."

I'll betcha that Obama is planning to rush to his grandmother's side on Wednesday. I really hope Mrs. Dunham can hang on. How wonderful it would be for her to live to see her grandson, President Obama.

5. i think he wants to let McCain concede first before scheduling
his appearances. the "before the end of the week" is better and still allows for Wednesday if McCain concedes Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.

7. True. For my sanity's sake, I hope there is a wide enough margin
in the tossup states for the election to be called Tuesday night. Otherwise I'll never get any sleep.

10. Obama should just hold the press conference in Honolulu!
Why not? Bring the entire press corp and just have the first press conference in his native state. I don't see what's wrong with that?

12. I was thinking the exact same thing!
Wouldn't that be fabulous if he could visit her has PRESIDENT-ELECT OBAMA! I would be ecstatic! I really believe he will be elected. I'll probably get drunk either way! I've been working on a campaign for a close friend, a great guy, who is running for our city commission. We are having a big party Tues. night and my significant other is driving and he doesn't drink. After the devastation of the last two presidential election, I really want to celebrate. I am one PROUD LIBERAL!!!
