Election Results from my AM Kindergarten class (I'm concerned)
Concerned that we are kicking too much ass!! (HA HA, as if!)

The results:
Out of TEN children......... TEN VOTES FOR OBAMA.

This was a bit of a surprise to me. I knew that at least 6 were going for Obama, because we have been discussing it in class for the last several weeks. But there were children who said they (read, their parents) were voting McCain.
So the ten for ten surprised me. We talked about why adults make the choices they do in who to vote for, and the one little boy who I knew had previously voted McCain, told me that his parents changed their mind after the last debate. (He actually said after the last a-bate lol)

I'll report later on how the afternoon class goes.

6. Raleigh NC Middle School:
They split up into electoral votes by "teacher team" (group of 4 teachers)

All Electoral Votes went to Obama.

Yes. ALL.

4. You've been discussing Obama for the last several weeks
with kindergartners?

Great poll result. My daughter's middle school did a mock election across the entire school (some 900 kids in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade) and Obama won by a healthy margin. Nearly a landslide. Suburb of Dallas.

I was happy!

8. I've been discussing all past Presidents with them, and the 2 candidates
They came in knowing WAY more than most people would think.
I have 25 children between the 2 classes. The day after Obama's tv
program, 6 of them told me they watched it with their parents.

15. My three year old son is actually grasping a lot of this
Granted, his parents are true blue Obama supporters and it pretty much dominates right now as far as conversation goes, but he's actually getting excited about tomorrow. He knows when Obama is on T.V. by voice and sight and he knows that Mommy and Daddy like him because of a variety of reasons, several he can enunciate very clearly in his own pre-k terms.

I love it.

14. We should all be glad that Obama sharpened his a-bating skills.
Or at least had a very weak opponent this time (compared to Hillary and Edwards)

18. Afternoon Results....
14 showed up.
14 voted

OBAMA

That's right. In TWO separate classes, the vote was Obama.
I had the afternoon parents telling me after class that OF COURSE the kids were voting Obama,
because they are so smart.

Not. One. Vote. For. McCain.

What with there juice boxes and glue paste on graham crackers. They're nothing but Tonka Truck libruls. You don't learn anything from reading pop up books like an egghead, you gotta go straight from the gut.
