I'm not telling everyone we now need to "get over it" -- because I agree with you that the damage is monumental and, for many of those involved, unforgivable -- but rather, I was imagining the sea-change of our national psyche as an appropriate, albeit delayed, response to those who used to tell Dems to "get over it."
This election, this change, this new direction, this positive energy and hope for the future -- with all this now in hand, NOW we can say to THEM: "You wanted us to get over the travesty that was Bush's election and subsequent administration... twice! Well... Okay, maybe there's some value in that. Maybe we can't grouse about your crap for the rest of our lives. So... after taking you out behind the woodshed today and whipping your asses for all the world to see, and steering this nation toward a road of promise for us and for the world... NOW we're ready to move on."
Or something like that. I'm tired. lol
