President-elect Obama's has three high level profile briefings today
Edited on Fri Nov-07-08 11:25 AM by grantcart
1) Presidential Daily Security Briefing

The President gets his second daily briefing that is a carbon copy of that given to President Bush. From now on the briefings will start to be tailored to his particular interests and they will start giving more or less detail depending on his interest.

It is thought that today's briefing would include increasing detail on Iranian nuclear program, Negotiation with North Koreans, current status of Palestinian/Israeli tensions, Russian sabre rattling moves in countries that were formerly apart of the Soviet Empire.

2) Parent/Teacher Briefing

President-elect Obama and Michelle Obama emerge from the school.Michelle was dressed casually, in a ball cap and athletic wear and carrying a vase that appeared to be filled with an autumn-toned roses. The president-elect wore a suit. He escorted her to an SUV in the motorcade, gave her a kiss, then got into a separate vehicle in the motorcade.

It is thought that the briefing would include quality of homework, penmanship, Sasha's outstanding test results and Malia's talking in class. New rules for recess play would be discussed, changes in the school lunch program and efforts to individualize instruction in the classroom would be addressed with the President-elect and the new First Lady.

3)Economic Briefing

The President-elect will have his first meeting with his economic team since the election and will be looking at ways to stem the sharp increases in jobless and relevant stimulus packages. The President-elect will also be looking at thre of the participants as possible Treasury Secretary.

Afterwards the President-elect is scheduled to have his first press conference since his election.
