position to try to "wield his power" and constantly get his butt kissed for his vote. Who CARES if the Dems. don't get to 60 in the Senate? It'll be close enough without the Dem. party letting LIEberman run all over it. He should just be forced to join the other side with the rest of the slimeballs. If he's allowed to stay in his current position after breaking his word, he'll "win" AGAIN!

2. Well, Obama doesn't think so. And he won't be able to wield power
as he won't have any in the next Senate. Also, I trust Obama's political savvy.

5. Obama said he should be allowed to stay in the PARTY-not to keep his position as
chair of whatever party he chairs. And Lieberman already said he refused to step down from that position. Obama could've given the wink and nod to the Dem. Senators when he said what he said, knowing Lieberman wouldn't stay in the party without keeping his position as chair of his committee he's on.

7. He can't just refuse can he?
That's preposterous. He's NOT a Dem anymore (by his own choice) and the decision is not his.

He's nothing but an opportunist.

12. try reading your own OP. It states in big fat words that Lieberman should
be kicked out of the party. It doesn't even fucking mention his chairmanship.

 My OP and my response to your post are 2 different things. To you I said that LIEBERMAN said he wouldn't stay in the Dem. party if he couldn't keep his chairmanship.

3. He already took himself out of the Dem party by running as an independent.
Short of using him as part of a 60-member supermajority, I agree they should drop-kick his ass from the party and from any leadership position.

6. Well, really, he ran as a member of the "Connecticut for Lieberman Party" that he
created so that his name would be first on the ballot. He's so sleazy.

So do I. :hi:

11. I consider him out of his damn mind.
There is no "Independent Democrat" party. He ran on his own, he's ON HIS OWN.

He knew damn well we'd cut his McCain-backin ass loose if we won a majority.

Suck it, Joe.

30. I agree. He should be expelled from the caucus. Did we let Chaffee have a chairmanship?
Should we have let Zell Miller have a chairmanship. Obama's not perfect and this is his first major blunder imo. I just hope it doesn't come back and bite us.
