Arizona and Nebraska Dems check in... Hagel and McCain.. replacements Dems sen. seats 60 and 61???
Just a though... maybe if Obama gives Hagel and McCain positions in his administration.. they could get replaced by Dems... what's the process in those two states for resigning Senators?

meant a filibuster proof Democratic majority in the Senate, no Republican Senator would accept.

He retired this year.

8. Hagel is already out as you've been told, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him get an appointment
of some kind in the Obama administration. They got on well, and Hagel accompanied him in his Middle-Eastern tour.
