What a perfect pick, and just yet another confirmation as to how refreshing this new administration is compared to the old, and how amazing of a President we just elected!

Can't wait for it to be announced! (And it will be)

Go Hillary! GOBAMA!

I preferred Hillary at first, and then preferred Obama. But he ALWAYS had my support.

You weren't as "supportive" as you now want to portray yourself.

19. LOL Nice Little Bubble You've Got There.
My critique of Michelle's comments at the time were perfectly fine and I stand by them. That has NOTHING to do whatsoever with my support for Obama and your implying such is just foolish.

I was always supportive of Obama and always thought he'd make an amazing president. In fact, a little over halfway through the Primary, I changed my primary support to Obama.

So again, you're wrong; PERIOD. :hi:

Obama's clear GENIUS because he's considering Hillary as SoS. Meanwhile, some of us who supported him from day one aren't so sure of this decision. Funny how things work out.

That is not the proper comparison.

The proper comparison is that open minded people are generally quite supportive, and closed minded zealots are not. :hi:

34. You're Wrong Cali. And The Onus Is On You To Prove It. There Is No Revision On My Part.
I NEVER trashed Obama, and to claim I did so repeatedly is a flat out lie. Furthermore, I never said Hillary would be VP. What I DID say was that if she truly wanted it and fought for it, the position would be hers. I still hold that to be true, but the reality was that she DIDN'T fight for it, so the accuracy of my sentiment was never able to be determined.

Those are the facts. Someone arguing otherwise is arguing from sheer ignorance or just flat out lying.

65. Since when is the Sec of State not the underling of the POTUS and subject to his
direction? The Constitutional power and authority for foreign affairs rests exclusively in the President, except for the power of the Senate to advise and consent (or not) to those he nominates. And, yes, she would be his underling, both as a Democrat and as Secretary of State. If she stays in the Senate, she would be his underling only as a Democrat.

Her propensity to lie, get caught lying, and blow it off like it was nothing (Tuzla for one), and her mocking tone "the sky is opening" with her husband's "this is a fairy tale campaign" are my most recent objections to seeing her get SoS. There are more instances too numerous to go into here.

If she was a guy I'd say the same thing. I don't see where you got the sexist bastard crap in the comment.

72. I have to note your stupidity for not checking the facts before critiquing others
He said it until he got criticized for it and saw he was not going to get away with it, and then changed his reasoning. Typical Clintonian move.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Former President Bill Clinton said on Friday Barack Obama's bid to be president was no "fairy tale" and said his use of that phrase earlier in the week referred specifically to Obama's claims about his stance on the Iraq war.

The former president drew criticism for the "fairy tale" comment he made while campaigning in New Hampshire for his wife Hillary Clinton, Obama's main rival for the Democratic Party nomination in the November presidential election.

29. Except BOTH Clintons SIDED with Bush on his terrorism and Iraq war decisions
Edited on Tue Nov-18-08 11:14 AM by blm
and Bill used his highprofile booktour in summer 2004 to not only support Bush but very PUBLICLY defended him vigorously for his Iraq war decisions against the attacks being made at him by the left and our 2004 nominee.

And it was Bill Clinton who advised DC Dems to support Bush on the IWR based on HIS privileged info on Iraq while he was in the WH, and he was Tony Blair's top American advisor, too.

Both Clintons were on the same page as Lieberman straight through till Joe lost his primary race and only THEN did they shift their rhetoric left for Hillary's own primary run.

No Democrat gave greater PUBLIC support and cover to Bush on his decisions than Bill Clinton did....and Hillary was just a more quiet version of Lieberman from 2001thru2006.

behind closed doors - just a nodding earpiece for the hawks, with NOTHING worthwhile to add towards a solution.

She's NEVER DONE ANYTHING of substance on foreign policy issues, ever. And she and Joe and Bill were the Dems who gave Bush the MOST cover on his Iraq decisions.

If he taps Hillary, it will be a BAD decision for this COUNTRY and I will continue to battle him on it. Clintons will continue to quietly allow the global Bush agenda to go unnoticed while they put up an image of concern and action and THAT will cost us eventually.....AGAIN.

Dubai and Saudis push the Bushes and the Clintons any way they want, and they have for DECADES.
