Why not? Yes it was a secret ballot, but if they could vote to keep on Lieberman, they at least owe the party a chance to know who they are so we'll know where their loyalties lie. They know goddamn well Lieberman should have been stripped of that chair. HOMELAND SECURITY FOR CHRIST SAKES!

42 senators vote yea
13 voted no

I wanna know who voted to keep Lieberman as Chair. I want names. Because if I find out that Claire McCaskill voted to keep Lieberman in that seat, I know exactly who I will be voting against in 2012.

1. I agree with Churchill as does Obama: “in defeat, defiance; in victory, magnanimity.”

2. I think it's a travesty to our party and country.
To allow a TRAITOR good favor is not the way I want my country managed.

7. In my opinion, this shows a huge lack of judgment.
I understand forgiveness and all, but then there's a point where you have to draw a line in the sand so people will know where the boundaries are. Then there's the fact that Lieberman is outside of the mainstream of Democrats when it comes to National Security issues. Why not just make McCain chair of the Homeland Security committee (even though he isn't a member of the Party ... but neither is Lieberman) because Lieberman is on McCain's page rather than Obama's.

I need some more toughness and spine out of Senate Democrats. No wonder cons think D.C. Democrats are pussies. They may be on to something. What have these people actually fought for? They cave to everything.

3. If they believe it was the right thing to do, they should be willing to be public about it.
I know my asshole senator (and I only have one right now) voted to keep him. Which saves me the money I would've contributed to his campaign next time.

4. Also, Obama should issue a statement indicating if he issued a directive to the Dem caucus.
People didn't vote to protect Lieberman.
