Ariana Huffington: Dean unelectable, My Ass!!
I swear if I hear one more Democratic honcho say that Howard Dean is not electable, I'm going to do something crazy...Consider the source. The folks besmirching the good doctor's electability are the very people who have driven the Democratic party into irrelevance...

http://www.alternet.org/story.html?StoryID=17512

She also points out that there is a parallel to the Dean campaign, but not McGovern in '72, but RFK in '68.

The best candidate pulled out and returned to her column.

3. These are the same people...

who were saying that we were going to win big in 2002 with the Bush-lite apporach.

Screw these people.

The people vote, not the pundits.

5. RFK in '68 is a GREAT ANALOGY
I hope and pray it does not meet the same end though.

9. This coming from someone who couldn't poll 3 percent with big backing
she got major press and hollywood lib backing, but in a GENERAL ELECTION polling cycle she couldn't pull more than 3 percent

11. Dean's campaigning the same way as Bush.
When there's no alternative, there's just no point.

16. I hope there is more analysis in that thread.
The baseless assertions and ad hominems in this thread make a mockery of civil debate.

17. I like Ariana OK, but I do doubt Dean could win Arkansas ...
unless W is caught with a dead girl or a live boy (as they say).

Doesn't mean I won't try to sell him ... but we couldn't even vote for Gore last time out (and if we had, we would all be basking instead of baking).

Maybe he can sew up enough of the north to win ... but I am not in touch with politics outside of God's Country. :}
