Edited on Wed Nov-19-08 10:06 AM by nomaco-10
Article from five hours ago. Ct. dems want lieberman censured for turning his back on dems in CT and also his resignation from the state party for not offering any help to get down the line dems elected in the recent election in Ct. Scheduled for mid December.

GOOD, let CT deal with him.

1. As it should be.
Lieberman endangered our president elect and embarrassed CT.

2. CT had a chance to deal with Lieberman in 2006. Next chance is 2012.
Lieberman is not going to resign and who is going to censure him? The Senators who allowed him to keep his chairmanship?

10. After Lieberman moved to a new home in a new city, he registered as a Democrat
the rest of his family remain Unaffiliate.

11. Other than electing him or not, what power does the state of CT have over Lieberman?
I don't know. Can someone please explain?

12. The state of CT can't do anything to Lieberman but the CT State Dem Party
can censure him. That's another slap on the wrist.

The only thing to do now is sign the pledge -- http://www.thenation.com/blogs/actnow/384437 -- to help oust Lieberman in 2012, should he decide to run for re-election again.

16. I kind of thought so. The Lieberman situation sucks, but to be pragmatic
I think we need to judge him by what he does for the next 4 years. I am not sure, but I think that just because he got to keep his chairmanship for now does not mean it is safe for the next 4 years either.

17. None
There is no recall provision for Reps or Senators. The House and Senate both set their own rules for who they seat as members.

13. The republicans voted for Lieberman
not the democrats. They did not support their candidate. They voted for old Joe instead. I wish people would get the facts straight.

voted for Lamont, our Democratic candidate.

But thanks for the insult.

21. We dealt with him and defeated him in the Primaries. He was a total selfish moron who created
a Party for Himself and ran as an Independent and he was elected with overwhelming GOP support.

4. How is it that Lieberman can resign from the state party when he ran against the state party's
candidate two years ago?

That is as stupid as what the Dem US Senate Caucus did.

When will people wake up and defend themselves from scam artists like Joe Lieberman?

6. My state is killing me. He already resigned in 2006. He ran as an independent
How is he part of the CT Dem party still? And doesn't our state Senate have something better to do?

7. I doubt the state Senate is dealing with this
It's the CT Democratic Party. And I remember reading somewhere that he is re-registered as a Dem in CT. I didn't believe it but that's what I was told.

25. I doubt if we'll kick him out since PE Obama has been so
forgiving. But we damn well better censure him at the very least.

This may be on the agenda at the Democratic Town Committee meetings this month. Mine is next week and I won't miss it.

Keep it local. The blood stains stay there and not on the congressional floor.

Where do I give money?

26. In other words, Lieberman never had any choice but to caucus with DEMS, chair or no chair.
I think the Senate DEMS lied to us again, frankly.

Either that, or they were too spineless to call Joe's bluff- going GOP in Blue CT was never an option for Joe- he would have lost re-election in total disgrace if he had become an Obama obstructionist....
