Obama won. He was my choice in the primaries and I still have to pinch myself occasionally to believe it.

Hillary lost. She drove me nuts in the primaries. However, I did want her to be VP. Obama didn't pick her. He chose Joe Biden. Joe will a great VP and will help Barack a lot.

Obama has now chosen Hillary to be his Secretary of State.

Barack is not an idiot. Barack has not been deceived by the Clintons.

They are on the same team. That would be our team. Our team.

Those that are stuck in the past, still licking with their tongues on their own perceived wounds from the primaries, and who continue to post about an imaginary, perhaps delusional, friction between these two need to get over it.

I know I am not alone in this.

The Barack vs. Hillary neurotic mindset has become a pathetic little sideshow here at the DU.

President-Elect Obama and Michelle have a lot of work to do and have inherited a fucking mess from the Republicans. What he faces now is simply unprecedented and the fact that he was wise to tap Hillary (and yes, by proxy Bill, too) shows that he is a man of confidence in who he is.

I am not thrilled with Obama's entire Cabinet, but I trust him. He's earned my trust and, more importantly, our nation and the planet need his presidency to succeed.

2. Really; stick your crow sammies where the sun don't shine
It was time to move on once Hillary did her 40th or so appearance for Barack's candidacy.

4. Obsessing over Hillary by the MSM is a diversion
She will be a good, steadfast ally of Obama.

The MSM wants to use her appointment though to divert people away from the pro-corporate economic team Obama assembled.

5. The MSM just follows the blogosphere and forums, from my POV.
They give "the masses" what they want. More controversey, more bullshit.

6. You are not alone
It's impossible for Obama to please everyone, nor should he try. He should do what he thinks is best and I think that is exactly what he is doing!

7. The "buyer's remorse" that some here are expressing is amazing

It's like going to the supermarket and buying a can of cashews, then being pissed off when you get home and find that there are no peanuts in it. Obama made his positions and political worldview crystal clear during the election season. This crap that has come down the pipe ever since is pathetic indeed.

11. If the lame$tream media is wanging on the Hillary as SoS appointment, consider that...
...they're PWNED by fucking corprats and consider their agenda. Which is likely - to divide Dems on the issue - or ANY damned issue they can find to toss out there so we'll fight and bicker over it.

Just consider that. Hillary is the stick they use to stir the pot with. They're full of shit. And that's an understatement.

I agree with you one hundred percent. The media wants to make it seem like the Democrats are divided and can offer no vison for the future of the USA. Clinton and Obama voted nearly identically as senators from what I have been reading.

However, the military-industrial complex can't easily be redirected, and I never actually expected any serious change here.
