I think there would be about another 2,000,000 votes in the Obama column after the more we know about the extent of this economic crisis.

Probably would have picked up Missouri and I think Franken would have won outright instead of this recount where he might win by 20 votes (which statistically is really a tie)

Most of the South is still hopeless and I don't think anything could have gotten rid of Saxby.

1. I am too. I would have needed prescription medication if
the campaigning phase was still going on.

2. Yeah, a huge part of the south is hopeless, IMO. I live in Texas and
the mindset here is unbelievably backwards in so many areas. It gets very frustrating living here with so many closed-minded people.

3. You know there is always a chance of moderate Reps jumping ship.
When the Gingrich Revolution happened several conservative Dems jumped ship.

4.  I found this nugget stuck in a Frank Rich column a couple of weeks ago striking.
"The Republicans lost every region of the country by double digits except the South, which they won by less than double digits (9 points). They took the South only because McCain, who ran roughly even with Obama among whites in every other region, won Southern whites by 38 percentage points."
