Media meme--Obama is "too liberal"
Nonsense which will make it harder for him to get anything progressive done at all.

http://www.alternet.org/blogs/video/109590/

1. Cherry picked a 2007 National Journal ranking which concluded that Obama was the most liberal Senator. This despite the fact that it was an outlier with a deeply flawed methodology that no other ranking confirmed, and only a true nitwit would swallow credulously the notion that Obama was more liberal than Russ Feingold or Bernie Sanders.

2. Nodded approvingly as Clinton campaign pushed "Obama is too liberal" meme. Ignored the fact that even in the National Journal ranking, of the 267 issues on which they both cast votes in 2007, they differed by only 10 votes. "The policy differences between Clinton and Obama are so slight they are almost nonexistent to the average voter," said Rutgers University political scientist Richard Lau.

3. Turned into complete bobbleheads as McCain campaign and a woman who excised the letter "g" from the alphabet endlessly repeat the same.

2. Would that it were true. Only, what do you mean by the letter 'g' being stricken?
Missed that one.

3. The same media that said bush was a compassionate conservative?

4. Media Agenda.... minimize and attack the left, no matter what
gee? Why might that be? Afraid we may empower the people with an inconvenient truth that your propaganda is not nor was it ever in the economic interests of most American citizens?

Buy do we on the left scare the shit of corporatists. They should be... we don't put up with their bullshit and never were the obedient, subservient type to begin with.

5. its the same tactic they've always done with the "liberal media" bullshit
they yell it over and over and make the person or organization bend over backwards disproving it, essentially hamstringing them from doing anything else but appeasing the right wing.

what whiney-ass babies conservatives are, eh?

6. If he were listening to the American people in terms of how they voted in November, he would be 100%
liberal. Unfortunately, he is simply not that liberal - I mean, he's liberal enough for most of us after how many years of Republican control of government. And who knows, maybe he'll loosen up over time.
