I heard that he withdrew from being considered head of CIA because of criticism written on the blogosphere. DU. Was this you?

2. Whatever was wrote and deleted, wtf?
I haven't been in GD-P last couple days, so may have missed him. I thought it very interesting that he would use that as the reason to withdraw. Powerful here?

5. That has the bit I heard. Thanks for the article.
NPR story said both have been claimed, he was pushed out, he said no. Ah, so does that story. And this is the bit I meant:

"Brennan's withdrawal, offered in a Nov. 25 letter to Obama, came after liberal bloggers mounted an opposition campaign against his possible appointment."

(oh yeah, and sorry I didn't write a snippet of the article in my post...I was writing the post about the Obama campaign manager writing a book at the same time. I didn't mean to be curt or anything by just putting the link, heh).

4. definately not DU
stories Ive read say it was the liberal blogosphere, other liberal critics, psychologists against torture and Obamas team who forced him to withdraw. I think it was a combination of all.

7. A blog is different from a poster on a message board. But anyone who withdraws bc of
bloggers probably does not have what it takes to be in a high position anyway. I suspect this was not the reason.
