But damn! It's great to have a President who is so darned good-looking, too!

7. Of all of the things I've seen, this cover of Ebony probably provokes the most emotion

Ebony and Jet are such important, historical periodicals in the black community. The idea of a black man - especially THIS black man - on the cover of Ebony with the cover line "Mr. President" is absolutely taking my breath away!

9. Yes, it sure does.

I still well up with emotion every time I think about the moment Mr. Obama won the election. And now, when staring at the covers of Jet and Ebony with pictures of not only the President-Elect, but his family, the tears flow again.

Yes, both magazines have covered a great deal of Black history--especially when the white publications (like Life, Look, Time, Newsweek, etc.) wouldn't do so for many years.

This is Jet and Ebony's moment to shine. And of course, the Ebony cover is beautiful and evocative of the true Barack Obama: resilient, calm, noble and stately.
