Poll question: The House of Reps moves to a five day workweek. You like or you no like?
Pro - Now they gotta work a five day week like the rest of us slobs

Con - Now these lawmakers will be working a five day week.

Pro - We're finally gonna get our money's worth out of these jet-settin' lawyers

Con - The jet-settin' lifestyle will be too stressful and only glib prettyboy empty suits will get elected

Pro - They'll have more time in Washington to work on constituent services, maybe get more time to actually read the laws they pass

Con - Read the laws? You kiddin' me? They'll be spending more time with lobbyists and far fewer weekends back in their districts actually seeing how ordinary people live.

Pro - Shut up, Pro, you dickwad.

Con - *sniff, sniff*

So! Your opinion is... The 5 day workweek will make Congress...

1. President Obama wants to get a lot of stuff done. Congress has to pass all that
legislation before he can sign it. Therefore, Congress - get to work!

Yee Haaaa!!!!!!:toast:

2. I hope, before they concentrate on getting a lot of stuff done...
they spend some time on getting a lot of stuff undone.

6. They need to get a LOT of what the bush/GOP House got through...
reversed. It's going to take a lot of time.

Let's not forget that the House, under insane tutelage from the GOP "leadership" wasted tons of time on Flag burning and denying basic Human Rights for segments of our society...besides helping to fund the wars and enrich their buddies by looting the Treasury, that's all they did...x(
