Obama better get moving, he's got a lot to live up to.
1. He hasn't backed out of Kyoto

3. He hasn't limited stem cell research.
4. He hasn't put a logging industry lobbyist in charge of the U.S. Forest service.
5. He hasn't put a HORSE LAWYER in charge of FEMA
6. He hasn't ignored PDB's warning us of impending attack.
7. He hasn't created secret military courts to try "enemy combatants".
8. He hasn't tried to "privatize" Social Security
9. He hasn't pulled us out of the Anti-Ballistic Missile (ABM) Treaty
10.He hasn't passed NCLB
11.He hasn't called the Geneva convention "obsolete or quaint".
12.He hasn't deregulated pollution spewing industries and called it the "Clear Skies" initiative.
13.He hasn't let Osama get away
14.He hasn't removed restrictions on Domestic spying.
15.He hasn't created the “Terrorism Information and Prevention System,” TIPS, encouraging meter readers and truck drivers to report “suspicious activity.”(the rat out your neighbor system)
16.He hasn't looked the other way while North Korea developed and tested Nuclear weapons
17.He hasn't tried to stop an investigation into the causes of 9/11
18.He hasn't refused to answer any questions by a commission investigating 9/11 without his Uncle Joey by his side.
19.He hasn't attacked any countries and killed hundreds of thousands of innocent people.
20.He hasn't awarded no bid contracts to his VP's companies.
21.He hasn't scared us with Bird Flu. Or Sars, or the Heebie Jeebies.
22.He hasn't tried to strip workers of their overtime.
23.He hasn't gone to Poland and said "We found the WMD's".
24.He hasn't outed a CIA agent, destroying years of covert operations.
25.He hasn't allowed the FBI to keep files on Anti-War protesters
26.He hasn't threatened to fire anyone for revealing the true cost of his economic plans
27.He hasn't made any jokes about not finding WMD's.
28.He hasn't authorized Abu Grahib
29.He hasn't answered "NO" when asked if he has made any mistakes so far.
30.He hasn't amped up the "terrorist threat" to draw attention away from failed policies, mistakes and complete fuck-ups.
31.He hasn't claimed the "insurgents" are in the last throes.
32.He hasn't shot a friend in the face then made that friend go on TV to apologize for all the harm he's done, you know getting in the way of that bullet and all.
33.He hasn't let an entire US city drown.
34.He hasn't brought an entire nation to it's knees with his policies.
34.He hasn't embarrassed me.

Of course reading DU you'd think he did all those things and then sat down and ate a meal of Polar Bear meat with live babies for dessert.

Oh and that's the short list. I didn't want to spend a week typing out all of Bush's disasters.

1. Have you ever heard...
of people calling for the President-Elect to step up and start making policy before inauguration? Yet that's what I've been hearing all day long on the tee-vee. I understand that Dubya's checked out already, but it's grossly unfair to expect Obama to start being president today.

2. Yes and it the most ridiculous thing isn't it?
He is not president. Why would he even entertain trying to take over at this point....so everyone can blame him for the mess.

Geeze....

5. He can't make policy before Inauguration
Apparently W is cooperating with the transition. If he starts issuing policy and bashing W over the next 45 days, W will make the transistion work harder on him which will in turn make his first days in office harder.
