Are people jumping on the band wagon? Or are braver now that he won?

1. Office clean-up
We had about 100 we discovered when we closed the office. We gave them out.

I still have 60 Obama Biden cardboard signs I've been dolling out.

3. I don't know about that, but the McCain stickers and yard signs vanished the day after the election
I think I have seen one McCain sticker since the election, and no yard signs. And this is a Republican area too.

4. I never saw many bumpers sticks, but certainly far more for Obama.
There were lots and lots of yard signs though which were overwhelmingly Obama.

5. I dunno but I loved seeing so many Obama
stickers when I was in Portland, Ore over the long Holiday weekend. Everytime I saw one my heart would do a flip:fistbump:

I missed all that living up here in the New York county that went 55% for mccain.

6. I noticed the same thing!
Before the election, here in the only red district of Maryland (it seems, anyway), McPalin signs and stickers were EVERYWHERE. If I saw one Obama sticker on a car in a week, that was unusual. Now, I routinely see 3 a day coming and going to work. Maybe a stray McPalin one a week now. It makes my heart happy. (I am easily amused, as you can see.)

And I am still giving the few remaining idiots sporting */Cheney04 signs weird looks as I drive by.

8. I was thinking the same thing.
Right after the election they started cropping up in my work parking lot, and around where I live.

I'm currently living in a very "Red" area, and the 40%
of folks here who voted for Obama were DEFINITELY keeping their
opinions to themselves before the election. I saw a total
of TWO Obama signs within a 30-mile radius of here.

But now that he won, his supporters are feeling a bit more relaxed
about discussing their support.

And, of course, there's always that small percentage of folks
who just want to be on the winning team and pretend that they
were there all along. :eyes:

Edited on Sat Dec-06-08 05:59 PM by ngant17
and I don't think I've seen any more Obama stickers in traffic as before, but of course I am always glad to see them when I do.

I put another bumpersticker on the right side, it's from the Friends Committe on National Legislation <http://fcnl.org>, "War is not the answer". Haven't see any of these yet, but maybe it's too radical for the masses at the moment.

13. ME TOO!!! I'm in NC ... and I'm seeing many more Obama stickers ...
Before the election, my kids and I would play a game, counting the Obama and McCain stickers.

We never saw that many of either, but Obama usually won ... 7 to 4, 6 to 3 ... small numbers.

But now ... I bet I see as many as ten Obama stickers on a regular basis.

Another example ... I go to a local YMCA to work out. Pretty conservative place. In the parking lot, there were usually 2 or 3 Obama stickers, and 4 or 5 McCain stickers before the election. Now ... I'm seeing NEW Obama stickers. Probably 5 or 6 in the lot each time.

Ohh .... and I see almost ZERO McCain stickers. My wife still has a Kerry / Edwards sticker on our Minivan.

But the McCain stickers are GONE.

One of my neighbors had a NOBAMA sticker ... it was gone by 9am on Nov 5th.

My guess ... Obama supporters in NC were AFRAID to self identify in public. I was a little worried when I put an Obama sign in my yard. People are NUTS ... but this was too important to hide.

But my theory is that some people bought them ... but were scared to put them on their cars. They wanted to ... but in NC ... they were afraid ...

But now that NC is BLUE ... they've come out PROUD. I wish they had been more brave before the election ... but hey .. I'm happy to have them jump on the band wagon.

We have room!!!

And next time ... they hopefully, they won't be scared.

16. Seems possible. I've noticed it too
Although I live in a blue state (now blue - New Mexico), I had noticed more Obama signs/stickers popping up about a week before the election, it seems I'm seeing even more bumper stickers now.

Funny, my neighbor across the street was a McCain supporter and his sign was gone the very next morning after the election. I had my Obama sign in my front window, then moved it to the side of my house where it was very visible to the street and to my neighbor, and I added a sign that said, "Yes we can, yes we did!" and taped red balloons to it too! On election night, when they called Ohio for Obama, I ran onto my front porch and yelled "In your face, we got Ohio!" God that was fun!!!!

18. In red N. Florida there were never many McCain/Pailin stickers, but a bit more
Obama stickers. Now only mine and one other seen on my trip to work (4 miles). However, there is one die-hard support the troops big truck that has a McCain/Palin sticker along with a W 04. Die. Hard.

22. I think it's sort of like all the people who had "Don't Blame Me, I Voted For McGovern" stickers in
1974.

If they'd all been telling the truth, McGovern would've CARRIED 49 states.
