Here's some change for ya: "the days of pork.. as a strategy.. are over"
(CNN) -- President-elect Barack Obama issued a warning Sunday to officials around the country who want to fund projects with federal dollars: no more business as usual. Decisions on projects won't be made "simply based on politics," President-elect Obama said on "Meet the Press." In an interview on NBC's "Meet the Press," Obama said: "What we need to do is examine: What are the projects where we're going to get the most bang for the buck? How are we going to make sure taxpayers are protected?

"You know, the days of just pork coming out of Congress as a strategy, those days are over."

Nice! I hope he can follow through with that. Pork has been the staple for Congress for decades and decades.

3. As an Irish person any mention of pork right now is unwelcome. In fact, it's hurtful.
Avoid Irish pork, food body says

Pork from the Irish Republic and Northern Ireland should not be eaten because of fears of contamination. The advice follows the recall of pork products after tests on slaughtered Irish pigs showed some pork products contained potentially harmful dioxins.

The Irish Republic's chief vet said contaminated pork products may have been exported to up to 25 countries. Several other countries in Europe have issued alerts over the pork.

The source of the problem is suspected to have been contaminated oil.

Products include pork, bacon, rashers, sausages, gammon steaks, salami, ham, sausage rolls, black pudding, white pudding and ready meals with Irish pork/bacon as an ingredient.

So, I had to throw out all my rashers and sausages today. And I haven't had a sausage since Saturday. I'm deeply depressed. And hungry.

Looks can be deceiving. They are delicious!

BTW, I would not know what a "withered Kangaroo willy" looked like anyway. Cheers mate!
