2. So sue me. I'm tired of turning on the TV and finding out how angry I am.
"Liberals say X." "Liberals complaining about Y."

9. It was only a matter of time.
I wrote elsewhere a couple of weeks ago that this was exactly what would happen. That the Corporate media would use anything and everything that they read on the Blogs that sounded like any type of dissatisfaction and use it to further divide us, in order to weaking Obama's base, before he can even get sworn in. It was inevitable.

The fucking corporate media always, always has something to say about how we talk about those we support, and are always ready and set to exploit it....but never, ever have they searched out information about the Bush administration from us and publicize that.

That's why when I don't like something done, I write directly to Change.gov. I'll be damned if I help provide ammunition for the Corporate media to use against us.

6. That's because a poster famous for "hatin' on Obama" showed up elsewhere to announce
that yes, a lot of Liberals all over Liberal Blogs were furious with Obama.

Of course, Furious is relative.

One can not like some of his picks, had something to say, and still be happy with other things he has indicated, and some other of his picks.

4. Are "liberals" supposed to be pissed off at Obama?
Friggin media love to pigeon hole and label people.

Everyone is either a "liberal" or a "conservative".

If you are a liberal you must think a, b and c.

Once you get the idea you don't have to think anymore.

Makes it so fucking easy.

I think this is the thing that pisses me off the most about watching political bullshit on TV. They have this script and they are very uncomfortable when people don't play their assigned roles.

5. Happy with Obama doesnt neccesarily translate into happy with some of his choices
for his cabinet.

I believe in Obama, not so much in Larry Summers of some of the other choices he's made.

8. Thank you. The MSM LOVES talking about how ANGRY we on the left are...
especially maddening when RWers like Buchanan, Scarborough, and others say it with smirks on their faces.

Some on purpose, some not.

But that's not really his fault.

20. The President-Elect is pretty much doing what I expected
Edited on Mon Dec-08-08 09:28 PM by Douglas Carpenter
Sooner or later, I am sure President Obama will do or say something that I honestly didn't expect that really does upset me.

I think it would be more productive to wait until such a time as that before I get myself worked up into a tissy.

23. this mime probably is actually helpful to the progressive cause
During the Clinton years, the right-wing actually had some success at pushing the ludicrous line that President Clinton was an out-of-touch counterculture leftist or at the very least way to the left of most Americans.

Now the mainstream media seems to be acknowledging, as mentioned in the OP, that Hillary Clinton and Bill Richardson and by implication the President-Elect are actually somewhat right-of-center.

Whether or not one agrees with this appraisal, it does show that enough of a pendulum swing has occurred that those who the right could once with a straight face represent as the farthest left of American body politic are now seen by the mainstream media consensus as right-of-center.
