Bank of America set to lose billions in business as Governor, President-elect show solidarity with workers

In a stinging note of support for the laid off workers that have taken up residency in Chicago’s Republic Windows & Doors factory, the Governor of Illinois has suspended business with Bank of America until it reissues credit to the shuttered company.

Bank of America cut off credit to Republic Windows & Doors company last week, and workers, demanding severance pay, began staging sit-ins, effectively taking control of the building.

The governor’s bold move comes immediately after President-elect Obama, himself a Chicago native, expressed sympathy for and agreement with the worker’s plight and resulting actions.

1. Watch Bank of America "reconsider".
I'm gonna ask my daughter if she can bank with another company.
She banks with BofA right now.

excellent!

Do we know if there's a way that we can contact them to apply pressure?

She's one of the richest women in Korea...these days, she's doing better financially than BofA!

3. BOA is too big to fail, so let's make BOA even BIGGER.
Which members of the DNC (Do Nothing Congress) came up with the brilliant idea of making financial monopolies even BIGGER?

5. I closed my bank of america accounts last year when they bought
my old bank. Shitty customer service and fucked up rules. I didn't like them at all.

6. I agree. And I used to work for them in the 80s.....
when the ATM cards first came out.

They are lousy....especially at customer service.

When I walk into a Wells Fargo, it's like entering a real bank...compared to when I've walked into a BofA. I have actually tried to open an account there twice, and walked away disgusted. Seriously.

8. I believe you...they suck and I hope they feel it in a very negative
way if people stop dealing with them completely. They won't miss my little money but losing the state of Illinois is a different story completely.
