1. Well I don't look at it that way.

That sort of looks like, if you mess with so and so, they will sick the justice department on you. I like thinking about it as if they break the law and try to use corruption, then this is what happens.

So not they tried to mess with Mr. Obama, but the Govenor tried to be corrupt for self gain, which Mr. Obama / Mr. Rahm does not go along with.

The Bank of America thing was Blagojevich deperately trying to get his numbers up. He is more despised in Illinois than George W. Bush.

3. Apparently corruption needs to be cleaned up on both sides of the aisle.

What stands out to me is that the easy money to be made in politics needs to be addressed and laws implemented to make it really difficult to do so in the future. The crooks will then retire to organized crime where they belong and we can send the Feds after them.

4. I look at Rahm Emanuel with cautious trepidation.

Make no mistake he will break you, if you cross him, and that includes corrupt politicians as well as courageous truth tellers. Rahm Emanuel is not nor will he ever be an anti-corruption Democrat. He just saw a problem politically, and went in and fixed it.
