So who is Candidate #4?
He is supposed to have been a Deputy Governor?

Candidate 4: This is someone close to Blagojevich, in the complaint transcript Blagojevich refers to Candidate 4 as someone who would give up the Senate seat for him if need be. Blagojevich allegedly said that he could “count on , if things got hot, to give up and let me parachute over there” in case Blagojevich was indicted. Candidate 4 is also identified as "a deputy governor of Illinois." Current Deputy governors include Dean Martinez, Bob Greenlee and Louanner Peters.

I made that post last night.

The deputy was a man and employed as a deputy before Dec 1. He's the only possibility. He's also the one who is in the deepest in the conspiracy about Tribune and the Senate Seat. The conversations he has with Blago are amazing, to say the least.

2. So why is there no talk of him in the Press, but much about candidate #5/JJJ?
It appears that Candidate #4 is just as tainted.....

Candidate #5 does really "say" anything", other than words that Blago puts in his mouth.

3. Candidate #4 will most likely be indicted
or they are probably in the process of getting him to plea and flip on Blago to give them more on the details of exactly everything Blago was doing and who he was doing it with. This particular person was deep in it and probably knows where all of the bodies are buried. This person could bring a whole lot of people in and down to save his own ass.

The Feds probably aren't terribly interested in making an example out of this no name person if they can get him to flip on people with NAMES.

Deputy governor Greenlee resigns

CHICAGO (AP) -- A spokeswoman for Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich says one of his top aides has resigned.

Spokeswoman Kelley Quinn on Wednesday said Deputy Gov. Bob Greenlee resigned. The reason for his resignation wasn't immediately clear.

Greenlee's resignation comes a day after Blagojevich was arrested on federal corruption charges.

Greenlee was promoted to be a top aide to Blagojevich in June, replacing former Deputy Governor Sheila Nix. Greenlee had been a top administration aide previously.

6. So candidate #4 is on tape actually discussing stuff?
That seems more damning then.

I'm just amazed that the media isn't talking about this candidate more.

9. Yes, he is on TAPE and DEEP in it too.
He was actually in competition with Blago for being the dumbest, most brazen of the bunch. He is actually the one who advised Blago that he could PULL the money from the Children's hospital. He actually helped Blago make the list of what he could ask for from Obama. They have his WORDS on tape.

Candidate #5? They have hearsay and innuendo and JJJ is being crucified in the media. I believe it is all intentional.

13. It's time for the corporatemedia not to decide anything
about our country..their track record sucks. blago could have been touting "candidate # 5" as leverage. Who would put it past him?

8. Funny....but not really.
Candidate #5 is getting the media coverage, and no one thinks that is going to help his career, although he is only referred to, as opposed to candidate #4 has an actually has a conversation on tape.

12. Sadly, any chance whatsoever of him ever being a Senator is now gone
He'll keep his Congressional seat as long as he wants it, but he'll never go any further now.

15. "Senate Candidate 4" ID'd in criminal complaint
Associated Press - December 11, 2008 5:04 PM ET

CHICAGO (AP) - Illinois Deputy Governor Louanner Peters has been identified as "Senate Candidate 4" in the criminal complaint filed against Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

An unidentified source familiar with the complaint revealed the information to The Associated Press on Thursday. The source was not authorized to speak publicly about the complaint and spoke on the condition of anonymity.

In the complaint, Blagojevich said he would put Candidate 4 in Barack Obama's vacant Senate seat instead of another candidate, if the governor did not get anything in return.
