Obama answered the MSM's stupid questions without acting like a baby (like Bush), what a change
He told them straight up he wants Blago gone and that any contacts his staff had with Blago's office will be put out there. Jessica Yellin on CNN seemed to think he went a long way towards answering questions and "more then what most politicians" do in these circumstances. We have a great guy who is going to lead us, he is up front, down to earth and is not playing the usual Washington crap. I think the MSM is confused.

1. Thanks for the info - I missed the press conference
I hope his staff is upfront with him and doesn't try to hide anything. I know Obama will do the right thing, but when so many people are involved, it's hard to get the info in a timely manner.

3. the MSM is more than confused.
they need their a$$es to be handed to them also. They have not served the American people well in 8 years, or maybe longer than that.

5. I think that they just are not used to seeing a President (well prez to be) answer questions
directly. It has thrown them off.

4. I think he did a great job
as usual. Also, kudos to the reporter who asked the last question. She said the other reporters would probably not be happy with her since she changed the topic from Blago to health care.

6. it was not good enough for MSNBC apparently
It was not good enough that Obama told them explicitly that NONE of his advisors were involved in or knew of a deal, and that he would disclose any conversations that DID occur over the next few days. This is not good enough bc the talking heads wanted this info today! Wahhhhh! And they want to know why Obama endorsed him for governor in 2006. These people are ridiculous.

10. yeah, they brought out their "bigs guns" to gossip about this
and it's REALLY sad when your "big guns" include like, David Gregory. And Jonathan Alter, who I usually like, kept saying over and over that we need to know why Obama endorsed him for governor. They may need to know, but I could give a shit, now that he's going to be in deep trouble anyway (Blago).

16. Dems tend to endorse Dem candidates. What's so mysterious
about that. They endorse by party, even if they are not BFF with the candidates and don't know all that much about them.

9. He should ask them why did they remain silent in the lead up
to Iraq!

That was far more serious than any damn thing that Obama and Staff every did in their entire lifetime.

15. He endorsed him for governor because the alternative was Judy Baar Topinka.
I heard her described as "an abrasive, orange-haired cross between Marge Schott and a chain-smoking cocktail waitress." I also heard she's just as corrupt. Plus she's a Republican.

13. Bush Only Conducted 18 Press Conferences Over His First 4 Years, Yet...
CNN's reporter has described Obama as being defensive and evasive in dealing with the Press. I forgot his name, but its the reporter for CNN who loves to point out how his long rambling questions are so clever and how he got the President on the defensive just in cased you missed his brilliance.

20. Yup, that's him!
I think he always asks these rambling questions. Worse, he is so proud of himself that the person answering the question has difficulty following it, which he attributes to defensiveness. He is smugly self-congratulatory as though he is the story, not the person being interviewed. CNN needs to get some competent journalists who spend less time discussing how awesome their questions are.
