That's what the back of a pickup's window had that I saw today. Written in that white shoe polish. Looked recent, too. I loved the respect he showed with "PRES. OBAMA" and not President-Elect" or just Obama. I tried desperately to take a cell phone picture, but he was turning onto the interstate and I nearly got into an accident trying to do it, so I failed at that. All I have is a blurry picture of him driving off.

I so wish I could have pulled up next to him and given him a huge grin and a thumbs up. You see, my husband and I, in a spirit of cooperation, are going ahead and sending our guns to Obama. In the mail. It's not totally selfless, we'll get 50,000 Fake Liberal Points for doing so and those are exchangable for in-demand items such as bongs, REALLY nice ghutra an iqals, food stamps, and special hobo blankets, quilted together with the worthless financial statements of everyday Americans. How AWESOME! Or SICK, as the teens might say nowdays.

What, might you ask, is President Obama planning on doing with your guns? Well, he's having them recalibrated so they only shoot The Gay instead of bullets. And then of course, his henchmen will go around shooting The Gay at everyone and if you are already gay, you'll become Double Gay, which is so gay you nearly loop right back around to straight.

I thought to myself, why would he want MY guns. He already has a big giant military with bazillions of guns capable of doing great damage to life and property. My few puny little guns would be worth absofuckinglutely nothing to him. But of he did come to take them there really isn't a damn thing I could do to stop him. He could bring a thousand soldiers and a lot of artillery with him and they'd blow me to smithereens if I even objected. So ya know what? I'm not gonna worry about it.

And guess what? Clinton never took my guns. Or if he came to take them he came when I wasn't home and he couldn't find them. So all those assholes that were so worried he would take their guns sat around for 8 years like a bunch of scared little babies for no friggin reason at all.

So I wasn't worried then and I'm not worried now. If Obama needs my guns the country is in deeper shit than I ever imagined. Half a dozen of them are muzzle loaders that take at best 45 seconds to load prime and fire a single round. They wouldn't do him a bit of good. So I'm betting that in 2016 I'll still have all my guns. And so will all the whiny ass titty babies that are so scared he will take their guns.

12. For shits and giggles, my husband called around to the local gun stores

and got on line. You cannot buy a shotgun, the kind used for home protection not hunting, because there is a 6-9 month back order. We own two handguns, which are kept out of our children's reach and they have a trigger lock on them. And we have several hunting rifles/shotguns that are kept in a gun safe. I think people are just scared that the economy will get so bad that there will be people rioting for food and will break into their homes. To be honest, I am glad people are getting guns. I am not against people becoming armed. As long as they take gun safety courses and learn how to use guns properly and store them responsibly. The Pentagon's plan to have 20,000 troops ready for deployment for "crowd control" inside the U.S. scares the hell out of me. The reason why our founding fathers put the "right to bear arms" in the consititution was for this very reason. Except the idiots who are buying guns because they are afraid that Obama is going to take their guns away, should have been concered about Bush and his plans to turn our country into a police state.

RE: The shotguns_ I am buying a used Mossberg 500 12 Ga pump, with a vent rib barrel - a hunting shotgun. They also make a 18.5" riot gun type barrel that can be substituted on that gun in about a minute, so one gun serves as a hunting arm and a weapon. These barrels are not now available ANYWHERE. So many folks are buying them they are backordered till after Christmas.

Don't know what everyone is expecting, but the gunshop owners are goind to have a great season, certainly better than the car dealers.

They might be relieved to know that President Obama has actual REAL presidential concerns to deal with regarding the economy, education, the environment, and the never-ending occupation of Iraq to contend with.

While it probably makes the good ol' boys feel REAL IMPORTANT to think that Obama cares about their hobbies, and cannot wait to make confiscating their toys the most important aspect of his entire administration, they might be surprised to learn that neither Obama nor 99.9% of the rest of the world could give a flying shit about their guns, or their paintbrushes, sewing machines, fishing poles, or golf clubs for that matter. Their hobbies are of no interest to anybody but them.

I cannot imagine what it must be like to dwell inside the mind of one of these paranoid, misguided, and quite frankly, delusional individuals who fixate on stuff like this. The fact that they believe the hype that anyone cares about their guns, or pay attention to what toothless, mouth breathing inbreds like Ted Nugent have to say (when he's not busy molesting children) about the matter, is just weird.

I grew up in a rural, but heavily Democratic area where almost everyone owned a gun of some sort, and I don't recall there ever being any political association with firearms, or any fear among rational people that politicians were going to confiscate people's personal items.

And this wasn't that long ago.

I really cannot imagine what it must be like to be so misguided and irrational, and how people so paranoid even manage to make it through the day without self-destructing.

There is a huge difference between gun owners who are rational (and therefore vote Democratic), and the type who vote Repuke if for no other reason, they believe the propaganda, and make that their number one issue, above even their own economic survival, their children's education, whether or not they have access to health care, or clean air and water.

Those are the individuals to whom I am referring. Those who blindly throw their vote away over a non-existent threat, all the while, completely failing to look out for their own best interests.
