Stephanopoulos: Dems Have Huge Ethics Problems, Not A Word About Coleman

Today George S. ran a laundry list of ethically challenged dems. Blago, Jefferson Rangel....ooh the dems facing a real problem here. Big warnings were given out to the dems. Yet, not a single word about a US Senator being investigated by the FBI. You can already see how it's going to go for the next 8 years unless we take a hand and start demanding media responsibility.

1. But, the show and the round table was very pro Obama.

7. The Slant Was Better Than Usual

However, as regards the Blago story...Obama isn't being investigated , Blago and...Coleman are. And when they start yapping that dems have big ethics prob;ems and not a word about the ReCons we are hitting familiar territory here. And unless we make our voices heard this will be the tone for his term. There's lots of wonderful things happening with the transition and...on Mathews this morning it was said that Obama wants to set up a truth commission on the subject of war crimes and torture. That is fantastic news but if the media keeps the focus on 'ethics' problems' that Obama doesn't have, we won't get there.

I just signed up with media matters and sent a tip on this subject. If we all help keep asking why this and not that it will help. It takes approx. 1-2 weeks for a story from the Internet to make it to mainstream, that is, if it gets traction online.

3. Ethics? The repubs who voted against the auto bailout to kill the union

regardless of the damage to millions of Americans are more ethically challenged than anyone I can think of right now.

4. He says he's gonna try to work with Obama and the repubs shouldn't lash out so much.

I'm will to wait and see what happens. The repub leadership must be furious at the things he just said on national tv.

5. But I had a hard time listening to McPain.

I don't like him any better now than I did during the election. He kept saying Obama was "SELECTED." I was
yelling back at the TV that Obama was ELECTED and bush was SELECTED! Also,did you notice how he kept saying
he doesn't want to look back, only look forward. Funny how the repukies had no problem looking backward when
Clinton left office. What a freakin bunch of hypocrites!

6. And probably no mention of Southern Republicans paying tons of taxpayer money

to get foreign automaker jobs in their states, making bold declarations against giving much less money to U.S. automakers to save millions of jobs. No comment on the ethical ambiguity of those moves, I'll bet.

No mention of Republicans giving hundreds of billions without strings to high finance while trying to micromanage (and union-bust) tens of millions to domestic manufacturing jobs.

Also, Cokie "Hawaii is so foreign" Roberts and George "Bowtie" Will are Reagan-era Republican dinosaurs who are hard to
look at, much less listen to for anyone with a pulse, unless the aim is to take a late morning snooze.

I hope Face The Nation gets an anchor worth watching after Bob Scheiffer retires because besides the Chris Matthews Show
and Fareed Zakeria Show, I have nothing worth watching right now... not that I'm ever home on Sunday mornings much.
