Bush's response to the shoes was great.

"All I can report is it is a size 10," Bush quipped.

I am mostly ambivalent about the whole thing. but that is a funny line,

3. Hey, we were greeted as liberators!
It's just that they threw shoes at our face instead of flowers at our feet.

4. I'm guessing he needs to develop a whole repertoire of lines like that
Once he's no longer in his bubble, things are liable to get a little, shall we say, testy.

5. And that's how serious Bush took the shoe throw at him.
And MSM is probably trying to start another war over the shoe tossing.

6. The death and displacement of millions of Iraqis isn't funny at all!
Let this motherfraking war criminal quip as he drops from the scaffold.

14. No, it was funny. He can take my Bill of Rights, but I won't sacrifice my sense of humor
He's an idiot, but it wasn't a bad joke.

15. That line was funny - but not in the way he intended...

I loved the "need some wood" line, or whatever it was, simply because he looked like such an idiot saying it.

11. No. His response was piggish, disgusting, and narcissistic.
To make fun of someone's anger after you completely ruined their nation and killed tens of thousands of his people, you fucking better well have a conscious about it and understand why someone would be that angry at you.

But Bush feeds off of how upset he makes people. He gets a rise out of it. He enjoys the chaos he causes in other's lives.

No, there's nothing cute about narcissistic arrogance. Nothing.

12. bush is sooooooo funny...too bad
it's symbolic of him ducking the issues in the USA for 8 years and the shoes were thrown in protest because of his War Crimes and his Crimes against Humanity.

He has such a great sense of humor like when he looked for WMD at a Washington Press Club dinner under the table..fucking hilarious.

13. great for a narcissistic torturer , maybe
Demonstrates a total lack of regard for the people -- including the shoe-hurling journalist -- who were tortured by * thugs, not to mention those hundreds of thousands who were killed, the millions who lost their families, had their infrastructure destroyed, and now face a horrific future.

Not the slightest bit funny, imho. Just more shit expelled from the biggest * of them all.

Hopefully, once * is no longer surrounded by secret service protection, a few shoes will make full contact. Preferably steel-toed boots, spiked heels and shoes that have been walking in manure. Maybe then * will get how truly despised he is.

17. I caught a bit of the same tone as his "Where ARE those WMDs, anyway"
ha-ha line, joking about not finding weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, a tone I found abominable.

I would love to listen to Christiane Amanpour interview the journalist who threw the shoe.
