What part of "F*ck him" does the Media NOT Understand?
December 15, 2008
"I've got this thing, and it's f*ckin' golden, and uh, uh, and I'm not going to give it up for f*ckin' nothing." Blagojevich said while speaking on tape in reference to the Senate Seat vacated by President-Elect Obama.
Throughout the Text of the Federal complaint against Blago, the governor speaks of his contempt for the President-Elect Obama and the Obama team, specifically in reference to the vacant Senate Seat.....they are
"not willing to give me anything except appreciation. F*ck them." Those quotes are from the horse's mouth, according to the complaint. The vileness in which Gov. Rod Blagojevich speaks of our brand new elected President, shortly after his near landslide election, cannot be missed.
So what is it that the media does not understand? Well, to begin with, they don't seem to get that the public heard those expletives and whom they were aimed at as Prosecutor Fitzgerald read the complaint over our national airwaves.
The public hasn't missed who was featured in Blagojevich's taped diatribes; President-Elect Barack obama with the recurring role as F*cker-in-Chief Elect.Ordinary Americans may despise politicians who fall from grace due to scandal, but they appreciate even less an already discredited media hounding a not yet sworn-in President for being called a F*cker while apparently refusing to pay to play. The President-elect did good by only offering appreciation for the Gov's consideration of his Senatorial selections. What the American public "gets" is that while the new President-Elect is trying to get Americans out of a major crisis of monumental proportion caused by another President that is universally disliked,
the media appears bent on making unjustified innuendos and casting aspersions. The Media may hope that we don't remember what we clearly heard Prosecutor Grant emphasize not once, but twice, during the only press conference given by those in the know; that
"...people should not cast aspersions on people who were discussed on wiretap or bug tapes, or conduct with other people, or scheming to figure out how to approach them for different things."The Media may wish that we'll forget Prosecutor Fizgerald's assurances...
"So I simply pointed out that if you look at the complaint, there's no allegation that the president-elect -- there's no reference in the complaint to any conversation involving the president-elect or indicating that the president-elect was aware of it, and that's all I can say."But a growing conundrum for the press is that the more they report on Blagojevich and his corrupt story, the more Obama becomes virtuous in the eyes of the public.
In fact, some in the public are wondering why the press is not more bent out of shape that an incoming President would be called such despicable names. In a normal world, reporters (especially those who opine more than report) would have been quite offended of such language being used against a United States President.
Accordingly, Obama's poll numbers aren't budging, and documentation on the Corporate Media's "out of touch" nuanced mudslinging has begun.I suggest that the Corporate media hurries its often time too late self examination on the approach many have chosen in covering this scandal, and review the less than veiled aspersions being made about the President-Elect by some of their co-horts. If they do not, then they may be surprised when they are the ones being referred to by the American people as those Media F*ckers.
What the American people have become clear eyed enough to see after eight disastrous years over two Bush terms, is that the Corporate Media has the tendency to fail in its assigned job of simply reporting news. The days of witch hunts are over, not because it isn't fun, but because our country simply can no longer afford it. Unlike during the Clinton years, the American electorate is not in the mood of being dragged through invalid insinuations regarding the incoming President, just because the press doesn't get "it". We are facing serious times, and fabricated scandals and three ring circus will neither amuse nor distract the American People.
When the American people voted for Change, it was not restricted to only what the Future President would do; it was a clarion cry that Change was needed in our overall way of doing business. Evidently,
what the media doesn't get just yet is they are expected to change too. Please leave comments and ratings at the News site --->
