While GW is busy dodging flying shoes, Barack Obama is still enjoying his ride as most popular President-elect ever.

Manhatten's SoHo Scholastic store reports that they can't keep the Barack Obama action figure on the shelves this Christmas. They've sold over 200 of the figurines since the beginning of December, despite having had to discount John McCain's version. "This holiday season Barack Obama has become our Tickle Me Elmo," says store manager Denys Ramos.

I bought one of these directly from the designer while I was in Denver. It's really nicely done. I did mess up the box, though, getting it into my then over-stuffed luggage on my return. You can order at www.jailbreaktoys.com

Rupert Chean is just 3, but he's already learned about Obama in preschool and went to the White House over Thanksgiving.

His mother, Fiona Griffith, 36, got a kick out of the fully pose-able figure. "It looks like Obama is ready to fight Darth Vader," she said. "Only in New York."
