What might have been if JFK Jr. had lived?
Would you feel better if Hillary's seat went to him over his sister?

2. I think Caroline Kennedy will be a wonderful asset to the US Senate.
She's a wonderful person. I've worked with her and she's kind, dedicated and very, very smart.

How many other Senators can we say that about? Seriously?

6. I think part of the outrage may be due to gender
but that suggestion was not received very well. :)

7. The same group would have attacked him, saying he failed the
test to be a lawyer too many times, his magazine wasn't successful and just because he was the son of a president didn't mean he was entitled to squat. x(

We eat our own and it will get worse when GWB is no longer around to pick on.

What have folks to do but bitch.

10. I'm disgusted by it
Though I will admit I just called to have Ford removed from office. The idiot said that "the constitution does poll well" - WTF is up with that.

I think Obama inspired Kennedy and I think she would be a wonderful senator. Oh, and the name recognition doesn't hurt - a political truism that some folks cannot deal with (along with the fact that not everyone is as politically informed as we are.)

11. No. His sister got the brains. He had trouble passing the bar exam.
He really had no interest in politics or law. His family made him get a law degree. But his interests were in editing, media, planes (sadly), and other things.

He would not have been interested, and consequently, wouldn't have been good at it.

12. Sadly, I think you are right. He had terrible judgment (obviously) in proceeding with that flight to
Martha's Vineyard. As if we didn't have enough dead Kennedy's, he's got to take this incredible risk to not only his own life but that of his wife and sister in law.

I liked John, Jr. but his smarts were really lacking...
