21. Yeah, there has been a deliberate effort to put Joe back out front...

.... even in what Barack said today, "The Vice President Elect and I have chosen...." or something like that. And it's amazing to see the reaction time between what we say HERE and the response from the transition team. Not that I think Barack sits around lurking on DU, but I think the press does. It's like, we complain about not enough Joe on Monday, the press talks about it on Tuesday and Joe is out giving a speech on Wednesday.

Now ... it's clear Barack isn't cowtowing to anyone. As with the Blago scandal, he's gonna say and do what he wants to say and do WHEN or IF he wants to and that's the bottom line.

But I know that *I* (along with many of you I'm sure) LOVE symbolic gestures (which does NOT imply a "empty" gesture.) And Barack seems to love making them as long as much as I love seeing them. He's aware of the importance of public image and there's nothing wrong with that.

What a great realationship we all have with each other. lol

I'm just curious. I don't watch much news these days, too depressing, so maybe I missed all this.

Were they having a press conference with these kids? Or was this just a place where they were making some statements about education?

conference at a school that had been closed due to performance issues and is now reopened and improving students lives.
